The all-new ultra-lightweight bulkheads have been completely redesigned for the T2â™009 and are a work of engineering art, where luxury meets simplicity and practicality.
Designed to provide a high-strength and rigid anchoring point for suspension and transmission components, the bulkheads are CNC-machined from premium Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum and have been strategically machined to provide the lightest yet strongest possible skeletal framework for the car, and thanks to the ultra-low platform it was possible to create the lowest, smallest, and lightest bulkheads ever.
The rear bulkheads feature a split design, allowing the rear suspension to be mounted to separate bulkheads, while the center layshaft sits on its own, even narrow bulkheads which are positioned even closer to the center of the chassis. XRAYâ™s attention to detail is noticeable with all the precisely chamfered edges. The split design of the bulkheads also enables extra-easy access to front and rear differentials and middle layshaft. Changing the diffs and spur gear is quick and easy.
